NJYC and Bernards High School are excited to invite young women and young men with changed voices in grades 7-12 to attend our 2018 Young Men's & Young Women's Choral Festival, featuring Clinician Dr. Nicholas McBride, the Assistant Professor of Choral Music Education at The College of New Jersey as the young men's clinician, and Dr. Pearl Shangkuan, Director of Choral Activities at Calvin College as the young women's clinician. The event is open to all members of school choral programs, community organizations, and church choirs, as well as individual singers.
Attendees will learn a pre-selected repertoire during the festival, and perform it during a concert at 5 PM. Friends and family are welcome to attend the performance.
The schedule for the day is as follows:
9:30 AM - Registration opens
10:00 AM - Program begins
12:15 PM - Lunch
5:00 PM - Concert
Participants should wear dark pants and a school/choir t-shirt for the performance, and bring a brown bag lunch as well as snacks and water. There is no cost to participate, but participants must provide their own music - the repertoire will be provided upon registration.
It promises to be a wonderful experience for all involved!
