Sola Voce ("one voice" - soh-lah voh-chay) is our choir for girls in grades 6-8. Sola Voce choristers continue to develop a healthy, natural vocal technique while working toward a progressing level of musicianship. The ultimate goal of this choir is to prepare intermediate singers for advanced level work. Treble singers grades 5 through 8 are eligible to audition for the Intermediate Choir.
The chorus rehearses on Monday from 4:15-6pm and performs 7-8 times a year.
Past performance highlights include singing the national anthem at CitiField for the Mets, participating in both Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall choir festivals, and collaborations with touring choirs including Escolania de Montserrat, the Land O’Lakes Choirboys, Rocky Mountain Childrens Chorus and the Hampshire Young People's Choir. Our “Kids for Kids” initiative includes an annual concert for Neighborhood House in Morristown, NJ. Sola Voce's 2016 summer tour will take them to Florida for performances in Walt Disney World.
