Emma Liu

Primo Coro Accompanist

An award-winning and versatile pianist and educator, Emma Liu has performed and taught throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. 

Winning her first competition at the age of ten in her native Taiwan, Ms. Liu is a prizewinner of multiple national and international competitions. Most recently, she performed at Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall as the first prize winner of the American Protégé International Piano Competition. Her concerto appearance includes performance of Schumann's Piano Concerto with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra at the PianoArts North American Piano Competition. Other awards include prizes in the Harvard Musical Association Competition, and the Steinway Society of Massachusetts Piano Competition. An active chamber musician, Ms. Liu has worked closely with some of the leading musicians such as Joesph Kalichstein and the Ying Quartet.

A native of Taiwan, Ms. Liu holds degrees from Columbia University, Eastman School of Music, and the Cleveland Institute of Music. Ms. Liu holds a New York State Music and Bilingual teacher license and is currently on the music faculty of The Pingry School. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, nature, and photography.
